The EXIM Compensation Loan Program is the second most successful of the state-subsidized loan programs with its 260 billion accepted applications, said Attila István Szabó, EXIM’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer to Világgazdaság.
As the interview shows, EXIM considers it a priority to get involved in the financing of the entire value chain, due to the export exposure of the Hungarian economy. In response to the lending standards that have been changed as a result of the pandemic, a Compensation Loan Protection Program also has been launched in order to support commercial bank lending – with state suretyship. Furthermore, the European Commission has temporarily relieved the framework of the state aid system, so as a result, EXIM is able to provide insurance for any Hungarian export relation worldwide, which is a huge opportunity for domestic exporter companies in opening up to new customers and markets or in mitigating the risks of their existing customers.
