Our CEO, Dr Adrienn Berta, represented our pair of institutions at the Budapest Economic Forum organized by Portfolio on October 7. As a participant in the SME-focused professional panel discussion, she shared her thoughts on the development opportunities and financing challenges facing small businesses in Hungary.
Our CEO, Dr. Adrienn Berta, was among the guests invited to participate in the panel discussion entitled “Hungarian small businesses would like to grow, but how to finance their expansion?”. Dr Adrienn Berta, alongside Dr Zoltán Bánfi, CEO and board member of MKIK Capital Fund Management Plc. Ildikó Ginzer, Deputy CEO for Standard Services at MBH Bank, Richárd Szabados, State Secretary for Small and Medium Enterprise Development and Technology at the Ministry for National Economy, and István Attila Szabó, President and CEO of Garantiqa Credit Guarantee Co. Ltd also took the floor.
The main topics of the program included the diversity of domestic corporate financing options, the individual performance of participating financial institutions, the progress of the Sándor Demján Program and the importance of capital programs and subsidized loans.
During the discussion, our CEO emphasized that strengthening the domestic SME sector is key to sustainable economic growth. This requires targeted financing instruments such as those currently offered by the Sándor Demján Program. Dr Adrienn Berta presented our outstanding results achieved so far within the framework of the Program and emphasized that the interest-subsidized schemes offered by the Program are currently the most popular among our customers in our broad product portfolio.
