A milestone in the successful cooperation between EXIM and Hungarian leasing companies
Budapest, 15 June 2018 – During the V4 Logistics Conference organized under the Hungarian V4 presidency, the Hungarian Export-Import Bank Zrt and six Hungarian leasing companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding. € 59 million and HUF 14 billion were allocated to the new Domestic Leasing Credit Line program, launched in the framework of ‘Exporter of the Future Sub-Program’.
Chief Executive Officer of EXIM Mr. Gergely Jákli pointed out in his presentation that the new program is a milestone in the successful cooperation between EXIM and Hungarian leasing companies. Thanks to the signing of the MoU-s, favorable fixed interest rate loan facilities, which up until now were only available to large export companies, will now be available to small and medium sized enterprises that wish to enter foreign markets as well.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the following financial institutions: Budapest Lízing Zrt., Deutsche Leasing Hungária Zrt., Erste Bank Hungary Zrt., Merkantil Bank Zrt., MKB-Euroleasing Zrt., and Raiffeisen Corporate Lízing Zrt.
Chief Executive Officer Gergely Jákli pointed out that EXIM is to introduce further refinancing facilities in July 2018 besides those covered by the MoU. The soon to be introduced Export Credit Program will offer investment loans, operating loans, and finance lease facilities to Hungarian exporting companies and their suppliers at favorable terms and conditions. The facilities will be available also to companies in the agricultural sector. With the new product package, the loan application process is simplified, maturities are longer and interest rates are fixed, added Jákli Gergely.
