Hungarian export companies stood the test in 2020 – said Gergely Jákli on Trend FM. As the CEO, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EXIM said on the program ‘Guest of the Day’, in the spring of 2020 EXIM launched its Compensation Loan, Compensation Loan Protection and Compensation Insurance Program package with the aim to maintain the liquidity and stability of the actors on the export market, besides the repayment moratorium, in the time of the global crisis.

Gergely Jákli said that EXIM ended the year of 2020 with a total lending portfolio exceeding HUF 1100 billion, out of which new loans accounted for HUF 467 billion. The export credit insurance portfolio also exceeded HUF 400 billion, thus 2020 was the most active year in the 26-year history of EXIM.

The CEO, Chairman of the Board of Directors highlighted that although 2020 was a year of economic recession, the proportion of export did not change significantly. The segments of the processing industry or the service sector serving foreign markets are rapidly recovering. In addition, international trade relations have also become more diversified.
